Our Team
Shibani R.
Co-Founder & Chief Advocacy Officer
As someone who has grown up with a life-threatening nut allergy, I know what it feels like to approach every meal with both hope and fear. Dining out has never been simple for me; it has always required courage, trust, and constant awareness. This nonprofit was born from my desire to turn that fear into safety and that uncertainty into confidence for others like me. What began as a personal struggle became a purpose rooted in compassion, resilience, and advocacy. Through One Bite Safer, I want to make sure no one feels alone or vulnerable when all they want to do is enjoy a meal.
Raj N.
Co-Founder & CEO
Raj co-founded One Bite Safer driven by a deeply personal mission: ensuring his daughter and millions of others with food allergies can dine out safely. As a parent who has witnessed firsthand the anxiety of every restaurant meal, he recognized that inconsistent allergen information puts the entire burden on diners.
As a technology executive at Amazon and eBay, Raj saw how community-powered marketplaces connect millions of people to solve problems at scale. He's applying that same model to food safety - crowdsourcing allergen data and making it universally accessible.
Under his leadership, One Bite Safer is working to expand allergen transparency beyond existing legislation - one bite at a time.
